Paintings of Music by Marina Pinto Miller

Here are my two catalogue entries for this year. Though the 2026 edition of the fair has come and gone, the prints are still for sale online! I don’t know how long they’ll be up, so I thought I would share the information for these paintings as I’ve never previously discussed them, although they are among my personal favourites!

(Left) Spring Vanishing into Summer’s Heat

Description

This piece was created for an exhibit held alongside a live concert performance with members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The musicians asked: What might the music in the concert program look like, when both artist and composer alike, have the ability to see sound? I chose to paint the sound energies, (reflected in the painting title: “Spring Vanishing into Summer’s Heat”), of Jean Sibelius, as expressed in his String Quartet in E Flat Major, 1st movement.

Size

22.86 × 30.48 cm

Medium

Giclee Print of an original Watercolour

Price

$200
